Mike Caron - Candidate 2nd Vice President of FASNY
I am honored to announce my candidacy for the office of Second Vice President of the Firefighters Association of the State of New York (FASNY) at the 154th Annual FASNY Convention this August.
For those who may not know me, I have proudly served the Elbridge Fire Department for the past 41 years, where I currently hold the position of Fire Police Captain. Throughout my volunteer fire service career, I have remained committed to protecting my community while advocating for the needs of volunteer firefighters across New York State.
For the past 13 years, I have had the privilege of serving as a FASNY Director. During that time, I have worked alongside dedicated volunteers from every corner of our state, serving as the Board liaison to numerous committees and helping advance initiatives that strengthen the volunteer fire service. Those experiences have provided me with a broad understanding of the challenges our departments face and the opportunities that lie ahead.
As Second Vice President, I will continue to advocate for our members by promoting strong leadership, supporting firefighter training and education, encouraging recruitment and retention initiatives, and ensuring every volunteer firefighter has a voice in shaping the future of our organization.
The 154th Annual FASNY Convention will be held August 19–22, 2026, at Holiday Valley Resort in Ellicottville, New York. The convention brings together volunteer firefighters from across the state for outstanding educational programs, business meetings, memorial ceremonies, awards presentations, and valuable networking opportunities.

Request Public Education Trailer or Canopy
Since 2003, our Fire and Life Safety Trailer has educated thousands of children, families and young adults on the dangers of house and dorm fires as well as giving instructions on how to prevent fires from occurring.
The trailer is requested not only by a fire department to share the message to community groups, but it is also available for Churches, Insurance companies or other public organizations throughout Onondaga County.
